About Me

I am currently in my first year of college, working toward an NCFE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports and Physical Activity, with a specialism in Sports Coaching. This is a two-year, full-time qualification equivalent to three A-Levels, covering everything from anatomy and physiology, diet and nutrition, to coaching principles and performance analysis. It has given me a strong foundation to build a career in sport.

Alongside my studies, I work as a coach at Up The Tempo, a rugby academy dedicated to enhancing the tactical, technical, physical, and mental skills of young athletes from U10s to U16s. The academy offers advanced coaching, strength and conditioning, individual development plans, positional training, 1:1 tailored coaching sessions, and seasonal camps during school holidays.

My journey with Up The Tempo began as a player, where I trained with the academy for two years before completing my time as an athlete and progressing into a coaching role. That experience on both sides of the process has given me a genuine understanding of what young players need to develop and grow in the sport.

I also teach at Team Nuneaton Karate, where I have been training since the age of five. After eight years of dedication, I passed my Junior Shodan black belt on 12th December 2021 at the age of 13, and have been assisting the club's head instructor, Sensei Karen Roberts (3rd Dan), ever since. In June 2024, I achieved my Senior Shodan, and I am currently working toward my 2nd Dan, which I aim to complete later this year.

My longer-term goal is to grow within the sports rehabilitation field, taking on further professional development to sharpen my expertise. Ultimately, I want to open my own clinic and work alongside a professional sports team, applying everything I have learned to help athletes perform at their best and recover faster.

Why Am I Writing This Blog?

This blog exists for two reasons: to benefit me as much as it does you.

For Myself

  • To deepen my knowledge by researching and writing about topics I am passionate about

  • To connect with others who share similar interests in sport, coaching, and health

  • To track my own growth and achievements over time

  • To support my future career and education pathways by building a body of work that reflects my development

For You

  • To offer inspiration, whether you are an athlete, coach, or someone just starting out

  • To build a community where people with shared interests can connect and grow together

  • To share practical advice and real solutions to problems you might face in sport or coaching

  • To provide clear, reliable information that helps you learn and make better decisions

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. I will be back regularly with updates covering a range of topics including diet, exercise, gym, sports therapy, anatomy, and coaching. I will also be sharing diary entries about how my life is going, with a focus on those same areas.
